PRESENS is delighted to announce a new distribution agreement with SCANDURA & FEM S.r.l., Milano, Italy. Under the agreement, SCANDURA will sell and support all of PRESENS's high accuracy pressure sensors to the oceanographic, calibration & reference, aerospace, test and industrial markets within Italy.

PRESENS develops and manufactures pressure sensors based on proprietary patented MEMS technology. The combination of the company's unique and versatile technology, together with superior design capabilities and technology expertise for advanced pressure sensing solutions, has resulted in a range of products designed for a number of challenging applications requiring high accuracy and long term stability.

"We have chosen SCANDURA & FEM as our distributor in Italy due to their valuable experience and competence in the development and supply of process control instruments and calibration services", says Frode Meringdal, President of PRESENS. He continues, "Our digital PRECISE pressure transmitter is designed for maximum accuracy and stability and is ideal for calibrators and digital gauges. We have a huge growth potential as a supplier to the process instrumentation market and anticipate conquering this segment together with one of the most qualified and reputed companies in this industry."

SCANDURA & FEM started in the early 1950s as a supplier of complete laboratories for the calibration of process instrumentation. Over the years the company has widened its product range to cover any type of industrial application, from master laboratory systems to state-of-the-art routine workshop systems and maintenance & calibration software packages.

Marcello Caravaggio, VP of SCANDURA, says, "The addition of PRESENS's pressure sensors completes our proposal for two market segments - the high pressure, high performance pressure sensors and the industrial high resistance pressure sensors. Moreover, we started a project to integrate their PRECISE pressure sensor in our multifunction portable calibrator PASCAL. We believe that these products can be used in metrology and in the industry applications as well."
