0-5 V Space Pressure SensorA development program is in progress to develop and pre-qualify the MEMS sensor technology for space applications. The sensing element is packaged in an all electron-beam welded and hermetically seald titanium housing. The sensor includes a hermetically sealed analogue electronic interface circuit for amplification and individual calibration. Low, medium and high pressure ranges are covered.
The sensor is designed using only radiation hard components. The overload capacity is several times the full-scale, and the sensor is robust against pressure spikes from slam start.
The sensors will be competitive in chemical, cold gas and electric propulsion on satellite and in launcher telemetry applications.
